Microsoft has unveiled a buy-one-get-one-free deal for its Office 365 cloud-based productivity suite. UK customers picking up Office 365 Home Premium, which includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and 20Gb of SkyDrive storage, will be able to claim a free year’s subscription to Xbox Live Gold – a saving of £39.99.
To qualify for the offer, customers need to buy and activate an Office 365 Home Premium annual or Office 365 University subscription between July 18th and September 28th. They will then get a code by October 31 by signing in with the Microsoft account email and password used to set up Office 365.
The final step is to redeem this code at Xbox.com or on the Xbox 360 console to begin a free 12-month Xbox Live Gold membership.
Qualifying versions include 365 Home Premium full packaged product (FPP), Office 365 Home Premium point of sale activated product (POSA), Office 365 Home Premium electronic software distributed product (ESD), Office 365 Home Premium annual subscription, Office 365 University full packaged product (FPP), Office 365 University point of sale activated product (POSA) and Office 365 University electronic software distributed product (ESD).
